This year Second Harvest is participating in Hunger in America 2014 the nationwide, quadrennial survey used to assess food insecurity. We are looking to recruit volunteers for the second phase of this effort which is composed of client interviews during pantry/agency hours. Volunteers will conduct interviews using Dell tablets to help us gather information that will be used to advocate for the alleviation of food insecurity. The mission of the Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana is to provide a coordinated approach to alleviating hunger in East Central Indiana.
Description
We provide a central warehouse for donated food and product which is distributed to pantries and meal programs in eight counties. We operate Kids Cafes, a mobile food pantry program called the Tailgate, TEFAP and general distribution.
