Fundraising Team - Groups Are Welcomed!
African Voices is seeking a self-motivated team leaders to assist in our crowding membership campaign to attract 2,000 new members. Candidates will be responsible for raising awareness about our fundraising goals and assist in "friend raising". Tap your network of friends, family and influence for a positive cause!
Candidates must possess a passionate love for arts and have a track record in leading online fundraising drives. Candidates must be willing to commit 15 hours a month to working with our staff to help achieve the organization's goals. Roll up your sleeves to make a profound contribution and investment in supporting artists, young people and women of color. Your leadership and enthusiasm will help drive the organization's growth for generations to come!
You will report to your progress to our Fundraising Chair and Executive Director. Set your own goals - would you like to raise $500 or $5,000 by reaching 10 or 100 supporters?
African Voices is seeking candidates with experience in the following skills and experience:
* Excellent Written & Verbal Communication skills
* Success at Crowdfunding Campaigns
* Finance/Budgeting
* Corporate Giving & Sponsorship
* Governmental Relations & Operations
* Building Organization's Endowment Funds
* local city and state government association and/or affiliation
* Manage board members in projects, as well as outside volunteers

African Voices Communications, Inc is a non-profit arts organization devoted to supporting art, literature and film by artists of color.
Description
Founded in 1992, the organization publishes a national literary magazine and sponors community programs for emerging artists including literary readings, writers conferences and workshops, a film festival for women of color and other events. African Voices runs the Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival & Lecture Series and Get Your Read On!, an arts literacy program for young people in low income communities.
