Twin Pines SCC 2014

Our Twin Pines Senior & Community Center, located inside beautiful Twin Pines Park, sees about 100 people a day! It is open to all adults, with no residency or membership requirements. We provide a safe, welcoming space for older adults to take advantage of free or low-cost services, exercise, socialize, make new friends, learn a new skill, or just sit and read the paper with a cup of coffee.

This is ideal for friendly, committed people who want to help make the center a warm, welcoming place for all visitors. You would be the 'Navigators' and the first source of information. Duties include making reservations for lunch or transportation, answering the phone, directing people to the different scheduled activities, managing the coffee table, help with finding free or low-cost aid services, and some small office tasks. Fluency in speaking and writing in English is necessary (other languages a plus!), and minimal physical activity required, but necessary.

Volunteers usually sign up for once a week, with additional 'subbing' available.
Our current openings are:

Mondays 8:30 - 11am (potentially), 11am - 1:30pm
Tuesdays 11am - 1:30pm, 1:30 - 4pm
Thursdays 8:30-11am, 1:30-4pm
Fridays 8:30-11am 1:30-4pm (1st & 3rd Fridays)

Drop by Mon-Fri between 8:30am-4pm to see the Center or pick up an application, meet staffmembers Andrea or Cheri, and see if you'd like to be part of our great team of volunteers!
