We Are Looking to Add some Volunteers to the team ASAP, just in time for the Holidays.

As a Patient Care Companion Volunteer with Nurses Plus Hospice, you would be providing emotional support, companionship, active listening, practical support and friendship to patients and their families who are facing life's end. Volunteers are the heart of enhancing the quality-of-life for hospice patients.

Volunteer assignments range from watching TV, art projects, photography, reading, scrapbooking, phone calls, listening to or playing music, local errands, light housekeeping, gardening, even creating a Lifebook for the patient to pass down to the family (whatever you feel comfortable with).

Patient Care Volunteers make a special, unique, individualized bond with their patient/family. You will walk away from each visit deeply pleased knowing you made a difference.

A current TB test, Physical, orientation and training program are required to get started.
