We need excited volunteers to come into our organization and be a companion for our patients. You can read, play games, or just talk to them. It is very rewarding for the patients as well as for you. Our elderly patients love having someone to come and visit with them.
Buckner Hospice Houston is not depressing or any of the things you are thinking right now reading the word Hospice! It is a fun, engaging place to go. Give back to your community by giving your time! Even if you only have 2 Hours Per Week!!!!! We would love to have you to volunteer and be apart of the Buckner Hospice team.

The mission of Buckner Hospice is to provide compassionate care and increase the quality of life by offering comfort and support to patients and their loved ones in the final days and moments of life.
Description
Volunteering is an amazing way to help our patients, families and caregivers. We have volunteers that assist with personal interests and hobbies, patient companionship, professional volunteers (i.e. barbers, hairdressers, massage therapist), administrative volunteers and bereavement volunteers.
Due to recognition of personal needs and business needs following bereavement, it is recommended that persons wait at least one year following a loved one's death to serve as a hospice volunteer.
