CASA

We are seeking volunteers to represent a child or sibling group in foster care. As a trained CASA you will represent children from your community of Kankakee county and be a voice for them in our court system. Mission Statement

CASA Kankakee County is a not-for-profit organization that advocates for the best interests of abused and neglected children within the Kankakee County court system. Based on the belief that children are entitled to a safe and permanent home, CASA Kankakee County is dedicated to working in the court system through trained community volunteers, in collaboration with key agencies, legal counsel, and community resources to serve as the child's advocate and represent the best interests of the child in Juvenile Court.

Description

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is a group of trained community volunteers who advocate for the best interests of a child that has been abused or neglected. CASA advocates insure that the best interests of the child are a priority and make recommendations to the court with that in mind.
