We need volunteers who are willing to drive an older adult to a medical appointment or to other important destinations. You assign yourself based on your schedule and time. Volunteering is flexible! You assign yourself to volunteer when you can. Number of drives varies - even one drive a month helps! You would be helping older adults who can no longer drive, and have few support systems be able to age in their homes.
We need volunteer drives and people to help with client phone calls.

Our mission is to provide services that enable seniors in our community to live independently in their homes.
Description
Drive a Senior - North Central Austin provides services to older adults living in the central and north Austin areas. Seniors are over 65 years old and no longer driving. Volunteers are the backbone of our agency and the services we provide. All services are provided free to our clients. We predominantly provide transportation to medical appointments. We also give rides to purchase groceries, post office, and other needs. Volunteers also can choose to make friendly visits, do yard work and minor home repairs, or answer client calls to scheduled rides. Volunteers also are needed for special projects.
