Seeking friendly greeters for visitor center of national park in downtown New Bedford. Applicants are welcoming, good listeners, and curious to learn more about New Bedford and its history. Front desk greeters welcome visitors to national park visitor center, orient them to the park and surrounding area, and to sites of interest. The park offers free training onsite, parking, volunteer shirt and nametag upon successful completion of training.

Mission Statement
New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park helps to preserve, protect, and interpret certain districts, structures, and artifacts that are associated with the history of whaling and related social, economic, and environmental themes for the benefit and inspiration of this and future generations. These efforts will be undertaken in partnership with the city of New Bedford, local and regional institutions, and the Inupiat Heritage Center in Barrow, Alaska.

New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park is seeking diverse candidates from the Greater New Bedford area who are warm, friendly people, love history, believe in preservation of our resources, and want to share their passion for the history of this area with the public.
