Volunteer Puppy Raisers are urgently needed -- Help raise puppies for VMF so that we may provide service dogs to veterans with physical and mental health challenges. Puppy raisers provide early socialization and care while beginning the future assistance dog's training process. Responsibilities include crate-training, house-breaking, obedience classes and manners. Dogs remain with primary puppy raiser until adolescent (15-20 months) move forward to specialized training for placement with a veteran.
Join VMF Therapy Dog Team -- Train your dog to participate in visits to hospitals and rehabilitation centers for veterans, or to work with private clinicians. Take the Delta Society "Pet Partners Team Evaluation with Skills and Aptitude Assessment" and join Veterans Moving Forward's Therapy Dog Team volunteers.

Veterans Moving Forward, Inc., (VMF) is a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code dedicated to providing service dogs to veterans with physical and/or mental health challenges, at no cost to the veteran. Located in Dulles, Virginia, VMF serves qualified veterans anywhere within the continental United States.
