Highlighting the vocal artistry of local, national, and international performers, Baltimore Concert Opera is dedicated to building upon the traditions of opera and extending these to new audiences through excellence in the performance of operatic music, collaboration, community engagement, and education.

Baltimore Concert Opera creates an experience that captures the core essence of opera in an intimate and affordable way. The concert opera form allows the rich facets of the human voice to take center stage while the artistry of our performers ensures that the dramatic element remains vibrant without sets or costumes. We offer you a chance to connect with this music when you hear it in its truest form, in an up-close and personal setting.

We are devoted to building new audiences and ensuring a future for the world of opera while providing performance and networking opportunities to professional singers from around the world. We endeavor to engage like-minded individuals who believe that opera is a vocally driven art form so that we can work together to be ambassadors for this wonderful music. Why? Because we do not want to live in a world where opera exists in only New York, Chicago and L.A. We believe that opera should be available as an art form everywhere and that if we do not take an active role in building audiences, this art form could disappear in front of us.
