We believe in a world where everyone has a decent place to live. With the help of volunteers like you, we build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
Our homes are built almost entirely by volunteers, both skilled and unskilled. Whether you are a contractor or have never picked up a hammer, we need your help! All the tools and safety gear you need for the day is provided and no previous experience is necessary. Orientations and safety trainings take place at the start of each day.
- Shift: Fridays: 8:30am-3:00pm, Saturdays: 8:30am-1:00pm
- Minimum age: All volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to volunteer on the construction site. Any volunteers under the age of 18 need to have a waiver signed by their parent/guardian and are not permitted to use power tools.
- Clothing: Volunteers must wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing that they don't mind getting dirty. Dress appropriately for the weather and keep in mind that neither indoor nor outdoor work sites have heat or air conditioning.
- Lunch is not provided: please bring a packed lunch, water, and any snacks you may want for the day. There are plenty of restaurants and fast food establishment near by if you prefer to eat your lunch off site. We break every day at noon for about 45 minutes.
Build sites can accommodate groups of up to 12 volunteers upon request. Email volunteer@ehfh.org to learn more about GroupBuild opportunities.

Mission Statement
Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, community, and hope. We build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
Description
Through volunteer labor and tax-deductible donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent homes with the help of the homeowner. Habitat houses are sold to families at no profit, financed with affordable, no-interest loans. The homeowners’ monthly mortgage payments are recycled into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses.
