Members of the Statewide Transporter Team meet with members of the public who call in needing help with an animal and get that animal to The Baldwin Wildlife Center in Omaha, Nebraska. These volunteers are very important to Nebraska Wildlife Rehab, as we provide care for animals across the entire state of Nebraska. Our Statewide Transport Volunteers help wildlife and the public get help quickly when every second counts. Time commitment will depend on your schedule, area, and the season.

There is a 2-3 hour in-person training required, as well as a required in-person 2 hour Volunteer Orientation.

Statewide Transporters that are not located within reasonable driving distance to Omaha can opt to drive only a set number of miles, then hand the animals off to another Statewide Transporter who will transport the rest of the way.

For those interested in this position that are not within reasonable driving distance to our Baldwin Wildlife Center located at 9777 M st Omaha, NE 68127, we will be providing several in-person orientations/trainings across the state of Nebraska hopefully this fall/winter.

Please feel free to reach out to volunteer@nebraskawildliferehab.org if you have any questions about this position.
