Tax-Aid is recruiting volunteers to help us promote our services to low and moderate income residents of the Bay Area.

REPORT TO: Tax-Aid’s Executive Director, Jill Sturm

HOURS: 5-7 hours per week from Jan-April

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Must be willing to travel to different communities to distribute flyers, posters, and postcards
* Must be friendly and willing to talk to members of the public in person and on the
phone
* Conduct email outreach to elected officials, community-based organizations, and
other channels to spread the word about Tax-Aid’s services
* Contribute new ideas and strategies for client outreach activities
* Complete an end of season outreach report outlining all of the outreach channels
used, circulation results, and feedback about activities to the Tax-Aid Executive Director

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
* Bilingual skills desirable (English/Spanish, English/Cantonese or English/Mandarin).
* Public speaking experience or interest in developing public speaking skills desirable
* Ability to drive or take public transportation to Bay Area communities where Tax-Aid has tax sites.
