Every girl, from our youngest to our oldest, has the ability to lead. As a Troop Leader or Assistant Troop Leader, you will be providing our girls the free and safe environment they need to pursue whatever interests, causes, and leadership roles are most important to them. With your support, girls will stand up, stand out, and stand tall.
Our volunteer opportunities are tailored to fit your calendar and your interests. Troop leaders are especially needed to work with girls at Eagleside Elementary School. Whether you want to work with five-year-olds or high school seniors, we will provide you with all of the training and support you will need to be successful in your role as a Troop Leader or Assistant Troop Leader.
Explore what being a volunteer could mean for you. We know what it means for girls!

Mission Statement
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
Description
Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA is the preeminent organization for girls with a current membership of 3.6 million girls and adults. Volunteers use their expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to shape fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, and inspire them to reach their personal best. Volunteers help council staff facilitate the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Volunteers choose from several flexible pathways (the ways that girls and adults join Girl Scouting) that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls, and they can participate regionally, nationally, and internationally.
