At Ovation Jewish Home, Ovation Chai Point andOvation Sarah Chudnow, we are committed to supporting our mission of providing our Jewish community with those services that enable our seniors or infirm to be a part of a quality Jewish environment with comfort, meaning, independence and dignity.
We are proud to partner with staff and volunteers living out our mission and making a positive difference in the lives of our residents. Our volunteers age in range from 12 to 100 plus. We are always appreciative of volunteer help. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
No matter what your skills or talents are or how much time you have to share, we will find a rewarding volunteer opportunity for you. On the volunteer application, you’ll have the opportunity to tell us about your hobbies and talents. We would be happy to let you share them with our residents.
Volunteer Opportunities
Activities Assistant: Work alongside our activities staff to help with a variety of ongoing resident activities include bingo, ceramics, Men’s Club, Tuesday Tea, Restaurant club, baking, arts and crafts, spa days, table games, knitting and more.
Special Events: In this opportunity you will help set up for parties, serve snacks, and help transport residents to and from the event. Special events may include birthday parties, concerts, and holiday celebrations.
Resident Transport: Help our residents get to their in-house therapy and beauty shop appointments.
Outings: Accompany residents and staff on trips to stores, Potowatomi Casino, summer festivals, Brewer’s games and more locations in the community.
Office and Staff Assistance: Help with mailings, file projects and more.
Gift Shop/Café: Work as a volunteer clerk in the Jewish Home and Care Center gift shop or in the Sarah Chudnow Community Café.
Friendly Visits and Resident Assistance: Brighten the day of a resident by reading, talking, playing a game or help a resident complete a task.
Computer Assistance: Help residents having computer problems and tutor residents one-on-one.
Pet Visits: Arrange to bring your pet to visit with residents. Proof of current vaccinations is required.
Group Opportunities: We have group volunteer opportunities available for your school or synagogue group. Please contact Volunteer Coordinator Beth Draper at 414-277-8848 for more details.
Our volunteer program is supported by Hand in Hand: Partners in Caring with the Jewish Home and Care Center. Hand in Hand supports numerous resident and volunteer programs with a dedicated and growing membership.

Description
Ovation communities, Community provide services that keep seniors active, independent and connected to the community. Each campus offers a comprehensive continuum of services to older adults in the greater Milwaukee area regardless of religious affiliation. Founded in 1906, we proudly carry on a tradition of providing programs guided by Jewish values.
With resident-centered care, mission-focused operations and ongoing strategic planning, our organization is intent on providing a home for our mothers and fathers where they live with dignity, no matter what their circumstances.
