Through ReadUP, volunteer tutors read for an hour a week with two students for thirty minutes each. The program benefits elementary students (primarily 3rd grade), helping them improve reading comprehension, vocabulary and fluency skills. Tutors can also work in teams of two sharing a volunteer spot and alternating who attends the session each week.
Volunteers are needed for the six-week ReadUP program this SUMMER in Marion County! Locations and times are TBD - please check back at www.uwci.org/readup in late April/early May.
