You would assist at our adoptions events, held each Saturday from 12:30 pm - 5 pm, with setting up starting at 11:30 am and break down until about 5:30 pm or 6 pm. We also have adoption events at other locations semi-regularly. You will assist with both dogs and cats (or only one if that's your preference!) at adoption events including, changing water, distributing toys and treats, providing basic information about the animal to the public, passing off the interested party to an Adoption Counselor when appropriate, walking dogs, scooping litter boxes, playing with cats and kittens, playing with our dogs and puppies, cleaning up any "messes"and generally having a great time! Excellent customer service skills are imperative. We also need volunteers willing to help with transport of dogs and cats from foster homes or kennels to our adoption locations.
About Ruff Patches
2010 West Ave K #424, LANCASTER, CA 93536, US
To provide support and problem solving to Los Angeles pet owners in order to minimize the number of pets relinquished to shelters. To rescue abused, abandoned and unwanted animals and adopt them into loving permanent homes. To provide support to other animal rescue/ advocacy organizations in their efforts to save homeless animals
Ruff Patches empowers Los Angeles area pet owners to keep their pets and help stem the flow of animals entering the City and County shelter systems and nonprofit rescue organizations.
Many issues can be remedied when pet owners have access to relevant information before obtaining a pet, access to additional education about pet care and to resources such as low cost spay/neuter, behaviorists, etc.
Ruff Patches connects pet owners considering relinquishment of their pet to the resources they need to address their individual situation, with the goal of keeping the pet in its original home or, if necessary, finding a new appropriate placement.
We'll work with your schedule.
