Drivers For Survivors provides free transportation service and supportive companionship for ambulatory cancer patients, from suspicious findings through completion of treatments.

This service is provided for ambulatory cancer patients living in the following designated areas of South, Central, and East Alameda County: Fremont, Newark, Union City, Hayward, San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Ashland, Cherryland, Castro Valley, Dublin, Livermore and Pleasanton going to all cancer-related medical appointments within a 60-mile radius of ZIP code 94538, freeing them to focus on their health and essential treatment.

Drivers For Survivors is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free transportation service and supportive companionship for ambulatory cancer patients, from suspicious findings through completion of treatments.

We have been servicing Fremont, Newark and Union City for over 4 years and expanded our service areas to Hayward, San Leandro, Castro Valley, Ashland, Cherryland and San Lorenzo in July 2017! As of July 2019, we had expanded to Livermore, Pleasanton and Dublin. ***We need your help to launch the new areas***

• No set schedule, only whenever you are available!

We are looking for Volunteer-Companion Drivers to assist cancer patients by providing rides and companionship.

You can help to alleviate some of the stress associated with some of the practical aspects of a cancer diagnosis by this act.

Our requirements are that you have a 5-years good driving record and pass a background check.
