By opening up your home to a foster dog, you'll literally save a life. Most of our dogs are pulled from high-kill shelters in the Midwest after being abandonded by their previous owners. Many have a slim chance of finding their forever home, but every single one of them deserve one.
Our goal is to rescue and rehome as many dogs as possible, and we need you to help.
As a foster home, you'll provide love and care to these wonderful animals while they're up for adoption, which can last a few days to a few months. We'll pay for their food, supplies and vet bills, and you'll bring them to our weekly adoption events in Schaumburg.
Even if you can only foster one dog, it'll make such a big difference. There is no minimum requirement to volunteer. Please contact us to become a foster home today!

It is the mission of Chicagoland Dog Rescue to save as many abandoned/neglected or abused dogs from being euthanized as possible, by finding new owners through hosting adoption events. We take in dogs for any reason, any breed or any size. CDR relies solely on donations from the general public, corporations and organized fundraisers. CDR is an all volunteer organization.
Chicagoland Dog Rescue (CDR) is a 501 (c) (3) Not for Profit shelter-less dog rescue organization. CDR is an all volunteer organization, including its officers, board members, adoption staff and training staff. CDR utilizes local pet stores and other locations to hold weekly adoptions. CDR makes every attempt to find a foster home until the dogs can be fully adopted. In addition to utilizing foster homes, dogs are boarded at designated facilities. The donations provided to CDR are used to pay expenses including but not limited to feeding, boarding, and required medical vaccinations to the dogs per the State of Illinois laws governing a licensed Dog Rescue Organization.
