The Fremont Center for Healthy Families provides parent education classes for parents with children under the age of 5 years.
Volunteers are needed on Thursdays from 10 AM - noon, and the first Monday of the month from 1-2 PM. While parents are attending classes, volunteers are needed to assist LFS staff to supervise children during classes in a safe, educational and nurturing environment.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to cuddle and care for babies and/or engage toddlers and preschoolers in crafts, games, and reading activities. Our volunteers are vital to ensuring that parents have the opportunity to learn the skill needed to be the best parents they can be.
Potential volunteers will need to pass a criminal background screen. Prior experience with childcare is preferred.
