Study Stars is a virtual online reading enhancement program designed to ignite a passion for reading and learning in K-5th grade students. Volunteers will work as reader or homework tutor. You will read stories, lead fun, interactive activities, and more!
Due to the circumstances surrounding COVID-19, CHW tutors and students are meeting exclusively via remote. The tutor will work with students individually or in small groups in grades K-5 th via video conference and phone.
Tutors are needed between 3-6pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday, with the average session lasting approximately 1hour. Ideally, volunteers can set a routine schedule and commit to at least 3-6 months of service. We will work around your life style and needs, of course!
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Be ready to laugh, have fun, and make a difference in the life of a child. Training and curriculum provided.
Community service letters and references provided upon successful completion of service.
