These volunteers make phone calls to patients and/or their families each week/weekend to check-in and visit with them. Calls can be made from the volunteer's home or the VITAS office. These are not crisis-intervention calls, just check-in calls to visit briefly and inquire about any patient/family needs. No long distance calls are required.

Description

Volunteers are the heart of VITAS Healthcare(r), providing friendly, non-medical patient and family care and offering support services in the office, using their cars and from their own homes.
