Barnes Elementary is a school in which caring and concerned professionals promote an environment where students of diverse population and varied ability levels can expect to achieve academic excellence, develop appropriate social skills, and be responsible and respectful, enabling Barnes Elementary School to be one of the finest elementary schools in the state of Oklahoma.

Description

School Profile Barnes Elementary is the oldest elementary school in Owasso. We have a beautiful state-of-the-art facility that will accommodate 750 students. Barnes currently has approximately 500 students in Pre-K through 5th. Barnes has a wide range of programs including several special education programs as well as housing the gifted program for the district. We take our school motto, "every child counts", seriously and provide a curriculum that will provide a framework for academic growth. We are a school wide Title I program for the 2012-2013 school year. All of our teachers and assistants are highly qualified. Barnes is also a Great Expectations school and life principles are stressed daily. Building good citizens is important to us.
