Habitat for Humanity-Spokane is building in Deer Park, WA! Currently, we are constructing multiple homes, all in various stages of construction. The plan is to build 114 homes in our development called Hope Meadows. We have two shifts available for volunteers. Our morning shifts are Wednesday through Saturdays, from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and our afternoon shifts are Wednesday through Saturdays, from 12:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Each shift can host up to 15 volunteers. All volunteers must be 16 years of age and older, and if under 18, must have parental consent. We welcome both individuals and groups. No previous construction experience is necessary...seriously! On-site training will be provided by our friendly construction staff, and all tools will be provided. Transportation to and from our office on Napa street is available as well upon request. Please feel free to contact our volunteer coordinator, for more information by phone (509)534-2332 or register for a shift by using our website ( http://www.habitat-spokane.org/volunteer). Volunteering with HFH is fun, and you will work alongside of future homeowners, other volunteers, and our construction crew supervisors. Come build a home with us and create a safe and healthy future for Spokane County Families!

About Habitat for Humanity Spokane

Mission Statement
Habitat for Humanity-Spokane is an ecumenical nonprofit Christian ministry dedicated to bringing the community together to build decent, affordable homes for all God's people in need.
Description
Habitat homes are built simply and affordably through partnership with community volunteers and donations. All costs to build the homes are transferred to the family. Community support keeps building expenses low, thus reducing the cost to the family.
Habitat is not a give-away program. To qualify, eligible families invest 500 hours of their own labor (sweat equity) in building their homes as well as others. Once completed, the homes are sold to partner families at cost with a 0% mortgage held by Habitat-Spokane.
Habitat for Humanity instills the pride of ownership and fosters the development of positive relationships among neighbors and the community at large. With decent, affordable homeownership, Habitat families create a solid foundation for a brighter future for themselves.
