The City of Dana Point's Nature Interpretive Center (NIC) is an educational, management, and operational facility that provides information to the public about the biology, geology, archeology, and history of the Dana Point Headlands. We share our acquired knowledge with visitors in an informal setting with the hope that they in turn become stewards of their local environment. Volunteer Docents assist the Natural Resources Protection Officer to care for the NIC, help educate visitors, and can participate in leading public programs or engaging in citizen science.
