Sulphur Ranger District is looking for motivated hikers who enjoy their trails and want to share that enthusiasm with forest visitors.

Volunteer Wilderness Rangers or Trail Scouts, based on preference, will wear a volunteer USFS uniform and serve as a point of contact, representing the Forest Service to hikers and other forest visitors.

Key skills needed for this opportunity include good physical conditioning, a helpful attitude, knowledge of local flora and fauna and prompt filing of trail conditions reports.

This individual serves as an integral part of the trails program, and works closely with the Non-Motorized Trails Supervisor to provide current information on trail status.
