* During this time we are still onboarding volunteer drivers in prep to have them ready to help patients when restrictions are lifted. *

This program is currently not running, but we are accepting drivers for our waiting list when our transportation program starts up again.

Many cancer patients have no transportation alternatives, and without a ride to appointments, some of them forgo the lifesaving treatments they need.

The American Cancer Society's Road to Recovery is a program in which volunteer drivers provide cancer patients transportation to and from their scheduled treatment appts. Drivers donate their time and the use of their personal vehicles to help ensure that cancer patients get the lifesaving treatments they need.

-Must have valid insurance

-Must pass a background check that all volunteers go through

-May transport patients to/from schedules treatment appt. only

-Will contact the nearest medical facility or call 911 in the case of an emergency

- Provide rides to potentially life saving appointments!

With this unique volunteer opportunity you are able to set your own schedule for when you are available along with set your distance you are willing drive. Please contact us today to learn more about volunteering with the American Cancer Society through Road to Recovery!
