Volunteers needed to visit with patients who are experiencing dementia symptoms.

Engage patient, make patient feel comfortable and support nursing staff. Volunteer will obtain list of patients to visit, then go to patient room. Volunteer will engage patient with reading, cards, puzzles, the newspaper, and conversation. Items are also available to give to patient if desired such as readers, chapstick, comb, etc. Volunteer can open blinds and help patient with eye glasses. Volunteer will help nursing staff as needed. Nursing students welcome.
