Do you like clothes? The Clothes Closet thrift store is open to anyone looking for a bargain on gently used clothing. Eligible families also receive clothing vouchers for free clothing. The Clothes Closet is 100% volunteer operated. As a volunteer, you make it possible for families-in-need to receive clothing essentials. If you enjoy thrift stores, this is the opportunity for you!

Ways to Help

• Sorter - sort and organize clothing donations. This activity is group friendly, youth friendly, and ESL friendly.
• Cashier - conduct simple purchase transaction and track daily sales.
• eBay - turn special donations into valuable proceeds to support Neighbors’ programs.

Time Commitment

• Volunteer for a minimum of one 3 hour shift per week.
• Shifts include:
  • Monday - Thursday: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm, and 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
  • Friday - Saturday: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, and 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
  • An ongoing commitment is preferred; however, short term and one-time volunteers are also welcome.

Impact

• Each year, more than 100,000 dollars-worth of clothing is recycled back into the community. More than 15,000 dollars-worth of gently-used clothing donations were provided free to families in need by our volunteers.
