Compassion In Action - USA has clients of all ages and ethnic backgrounds. We have the need for a Mandarin/Cantonese and a Spanish translator. This would be an on-call position. Hours would be flexible with in-office appointments being made with consideration given to the availability of the translator.
In addition to translating during office appointments, we also occasionally have written materials in English that we would like translated into Mandarin/Cantonese and Spanish.

Compassion In Action - USA is committed to providing personal advocacy services to our community members who are struggling with a health-related crisis. We will provide assistance to each person until they have received the medical services and disability benefits they are eligible for so that they may live in dignity.
Description
Compassion In Action - USA is a non-profit agency dedicated to assisting low-income, disabled community members in accessing the medical services they need to address a variety of health-related crises.
What We Offer:
- Advocacy
Provided to the ill or injured who need assistance with Social Security Disability, SSI Disability, and/or Medi-Cal/Medicaid. If other services are needed, referrals will be made to the appropriate agencies. - Disability Workshops
Where agencies, support groups and those who have already applied or need to apply for Disability Benefits can learn what is needed to have their claim approved. - Community Forums
Where representatives from local government agencies provide information.
