Each Tuesday from 12:30-1:30 the Forest Avenue Library hosts " Conversations & Coffee", a program for English Language Learners (ELLs). This casual conversation group pairs a community volunteer with 2-3 English learners to practice conversation skills in English. The program participants (volunteers and ELLs) are provided light refreshments along with discussion prompts and ELL worksheets to assist with the learning experience. We are always looking for volunteers who are patient and outgoing to assist with this Conversation group! Potential volunteers do not need to have previous experience working with ELLs, but must have a desire to connect with neighbors from many differenct cultures. For more information regarding this program or to volunteer your time, please contact Philip Delgado at 515.283.4152 or pcdelgado@dmpl.org
