Hospice volunteers are caring, compassionate people from all walks of life. There is multiple types of volunteer needs including office assistance, patient companionship, friendly phone visits, veteran support. The most common need is for patient companionship volunteers, these volunteers simply stop in from time to time and visit with the hospice patient. During the visit the patient may enjoy having the newspaper read to them or simply having someone there willing to listen to their concerns.
Please keep in mind there is no required or expected amount of time that you must volunteer. No pressure what so ever. Thank you for your time and consideration.
