The San Mateo County Historical Association is searching for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to help San Mateo County history come alive for the many residents, visitors and students of San Mateo County. Interested in education and working with school children? Consider leading or assisting our school programs. Are you a people person, interested in sharing county history with the general public of all ages? Then interpreting our historic sites may be right for you.
Opportunities are available at the San Mateo County History Museum in Redwood City, the Woodside Store in Woodside and the Sanchez Adobe in Pacifica.
Don't know much about history? Even those without history knowledge or who have never volunteered in the community can receive training to become a history docent. Join us for our upcoming FREE Docent Training on October 11th and 18th (must attend both days).
Registration is required. Please see our website http://www.historysmc.org for more information and a link to the registration form. (At the top menu choose "Support", then from the drop down menu choose "Volunteers". Information on docent training can be found in the blue bar on the right side of the screen.)
