Become a Classroom Aide and help people reach their academic goals by volunteering in one of our Adult Education classrooms. Assist classroom instructors by providing one on one instruction to adult students preparing to take the High School Equivalency exam.
In-person classes are held in Bloomsburg(day), Lewisburg(evening), and Sunbury(day).
Zoom classes may also be an option. Days & times vary.
- HS Diploma
- Current clearances
- Orientation/Intake
- Periodic online training
Volunteers may help students in reading, writing, social studies, science, and math.
2-3 hrs/week is all that is needed of your time.
The CSIU provides free GED classes with the help of devoted volunteers who assist people in reaching their goals. Volunteers will find they are not only helping the student improve their academic skills, but they are also helping them prepare for a more successful future.

The CSIU (Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit) was founded in 1995 and since then has been committed to providing education and support resources for all ages and all types of people. CSIU believes that:
