Citizen Science Training to Help Wild Frogs

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: CuriOdyssey

You can help the local wild frog and toad population!

The local chapter of FrogWatch USA is offering a training on Saturday, February 2, 2019, 3:00-5:30pm. Participants will be taught to identify frog calls so that you can monitor a nearby wetlands site for 30 minutes after sunset twice per month, for 6 months after completing the training. There is no charge, but you must be pre-registered to attend, and you must be able to follow through on the commitment to monitor frog calls twice per month. Contact Animal Keeper Carmen at csepetka(at)CuriOdyssey(dot)org to register or if you have questions.

Volunteers who are 16-17 must have parent permission to participate, and volunteers who are 12-15 must be accompanied by a parent.

FrogWatch USA is a nationwide conservation program sponsored by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
