Are you are interested in health and in helping others? Join American Bone Health and the Lake Merritt Independent Senior Living for our 5th Annual Bone Health Fair. You can help in a variety of areas, from registration, photographer to exercise demonstrations.
The four-hour event includes 3 presentations on the following topics:
- Exercise & bone health
- Nutrients for bones
- Fracture and osteoporosis prevention
There are many ways you can help:
Set-up and registration 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Exercise demonstrations 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
Calcium Challenge card game 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
If you have a background in exercise and/or kinesiology, we could use your help with the exercise demos!
If you have a nutrition backgrou,d we could use your help with the calcium challenge card game.
Training will be provided.

Mission Statement
The mission of American Bone Health is to mobilize communities with timely bone health information that supports strong and healthy bones and prevents osteoporosis and fractures. American Bone Health builds capacity for local community outreach through programs and public awareness campaigns. We engage public advocates for osteoporosis prevention, detection and treatment.
Description
As a non-profit resource center, we are dedicated to preventing osteoporosis through research and education of the public and medical community to increase awareness of risk, prevention and treatment. Our education programs include lectures which you may discover in the website.
