Boston Education, Skills & Training (BEST) is looking for English and Citizenship tutors to work one-on-one with adult immigrants. We offer tutors for students who need more guided attention or have specific requests. Most students need help with homework and/or additional practice reading, writing, and speaking.
If you're fluent in English, interested in education, and passionate about helping others, this is a wonderful opportunity! Volunteers will be supported by a volunteer coordinator and provided a wealth of resources. We ask you to please commit to a minimum of 1.5 hrs/wk for ten months minimum. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable teaching skills, learn about other cultures, and experience what it feels to help someone communicate.
Orientation will be held in our Medford office.

Description
BEST Hospitality Training is the education provider for members of the Local 26 hotel workers union. We offer English, GED, Citizenship, and Computer classes, as well as Food Server, Room Attendant, and Culinary Training. Our students come from all over the world. We are proud of the warm, inviting atmosphere we have created here, and look forward to having more volunteers become a part of it.
