The Parent Aide Mentoring Program is a voluntary program for families with parents who feel overwhelmed and want to ensure they have the skills and tools necessary to have a healthy, happy and safe home. In an effort to prevent child abuse/neglect, services are family-centered and focus on Child Safety, Problem-Solving Skills, Parenting Skills, and Social Support.
The Parent Aide Mentors develop a supportive relationship with families to build effective parenting, problem-solving, coping, and communication skills.
As a Parent Aid Mentor, by engaging the family in fun recreational activities, helping with homework time, sharing resources, or lending an ear you can help strengthen the parent-child relationship, build parenting skills, improve communication, reduce stress, increase child safety, and so much more!
