The Student intern with the AID Atlanta's Development Department will gain valuable work and life experience in relationship and fund development. Undergraduate positions are available. Interns must commit to 240 hours and 20 hours per week - the length of the course/semester. We will work with the intern’s schedule if also employed during this internship. There must be a memorandum of agreement between the College/University and AID Atlanta. Also, the internship must satisfy a class or graduation requirement. Undergraduate BA degree track students encouraged to apply.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist Development Director with AIDS Walk event logistics, details and planning for donor cultivation events, employee giving fairs and AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K Run recruitment.

Manage roster of prior event participants and re-engage in participation

Craft email correspondence to communicate agency and department updates

Utilize social media to expand reach of organization

Identify new potential prospects for community support

Track guest lists, respond to correspondence mail and making calls

Provide data entry as they relate to the events

Answer correspondence and respond to questions from attendees and participants

Assist with mailings and data base utilization

Other duties as assigned

Memorandum of Agreement/Understanding with the College/University

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience in word, excel, power point, outlook
