Hospice By The Sea, in Solana Beach, is looking for volunteers to provide the gift of companionship for those with a serious life-limiting illness and to provide care-giver relief for their loved ones.
Volunteers are a very integral part of our team. You will make social visits, read to patients, help with journaling, take them outside or make a light meal and pet therapy. Visits can be arranged for a day and time that works best for both you and the patient. Our patients are located mostly in North County San Diego.
You will receive free in-depth training about hospice and the role of the volunteer. Call to find out when the next training session will begin.
Volunteers can also work in our office doing a variety of different types of office work and help out with simple craft projects.
Please contact Phyllis, Volunteer Coordinator - phyllisf@hosipcebythesea.org, 858-794-0195
