POSITION: Director’s Assistant

REPORTS TO: Community Volunteer Director

STATUS: Volunteer, 4 - 8 hours per week

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Peninsula Volunteers, Inc. has been a leader in developing programs, properties, and services to support the welfare of the senior members of the community for over 65 years. Volunteers are an integral part of our organization, and therefore, we seek an individual who wishes to support and contribute to our Community Volunteer Department. The Director’s Assistant will work closely with the Director, other department assistants, and our dedicated volunteers. By volunteering with us, you will have the opportunity to be part of our legacy that has served the community and provided high quality and nurturing programs for the elderly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate with the recruitment, screening, and placement of volunteers.
• Market volunteer opportunities to the community and business groups.
• Write marketing and informative pieces for our website and newsletters.
• Provide administrative support including data base management.
• Assist with special projects and fund raising events.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Possess a passion for the Peninsula Volunteers, Inc. mission.
• Ability to work independently and desire to be part of a team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite preferably with Word and Power Point.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Ensure completion of tasks, attention to detail, and maintain quality.
• Exhibit a professional demeanor to our staff, volunteers, and participants.
