Come and be a part of our caring and compassionate team. Hospice provides physical, emotional and spiritual support for terminally ill patients and their families. Patient/Family Care Volunteers provide support to patients and their caregivers through friendly visits in homes, skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities. Hospice is a "face" more than a "place"-services are provided wherever the patient calls "home. Patient/Family Care Volunteers provide practical, psychosocial and spiritual support to the hospice patient/family under the supervision of the Volunteer Specialist. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients; provide respite for the caregiver(s); run errands; and provide other needed support for patients and their families. Opportunities for long or short-term relationships with patients and families. There is as a great need for volunteers throughout in the Lakeland area! Veterans, men and bilingual individuals are strongly encouraged to apply!
