I am looking for Area Representatives to work with our families and students. The job is considered volunteer but we do pay you a stipend for each student who is successfully placed. You would earn anywhere from $700-$1050 for per inbound student. You can also earn $500 for assisting out outbound students with their application pre departure. There are also ways to earn trips and bonuses.
The main thing an Area Rep does is help in the search for host families. There is no cost to you; we provide all of the materials needed. A rep would advertise by word of mouth, fliers, community contacts, social network or any other means to try to find a family. You would also be responsible for interviewing the family, taking some pictures, doing an orientation, building relationships with the schools, checking in with the students and families once a month, and holding a few get together for the students throughout the school year.
We ask that you try to place at least 2 students per school year, but you would work your own pace and do as much or as little as you want. Most of my reps have full time jobs. On average it will take about 3 hours a month of your time per month.
ASSE is a State Department recognized exchange program headquartered out of Laguna Beach, CA. ASSE has been bringing students to the U.S. and sending U.S. students abroad since 1976!
