The Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta is a non-profit organization here in the city of Atlanta. We offer free, donated furniture to families living with HIV/AIDS, transitioning from homelessness, and fleeing domestic violence.

We are in desperate need for shoppers M-F from 10am-12pm! The shoppers will shop with our clients to help them pick out furniture for their homes. This can also be a recurring volunteer opportunity.

The work you will be doing will be greatly appreciated in the community. You will be helping families in need furnish their new homes and increase their confidence and sense of ownership!

Mission Statement

The Furniture Bank’s mission is to create stability for families and individuals in need by distributing donated furniture to turn their houses into homes.


Our Making a House a Home Program provides essential household furniture to individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, and living with HIV/AIDs, as well as countless others struggling to make ends meet.

In 2019, the Furniture Bank delivered furniture to 5,613 people, diverted 34,667 mattresses from landfills, provided job training to 48 Veterans, and had over 6,247 hours of volunteer work.
