Chaparral House is an award-winning Skilled Nursing Facility dedicated to providing excellent person-centered care to elders.
We are in need of volunteers who can train with activities staff & then lead an exercise class for our elders in wheelchairs. This involves mostly wheelchair exercises: simple stretches, breathing exercises, balloon toss, etc. Volunteers usually do one session per week. Enthusiasm and a voice that carries is a big plus for this volunteer opportunity.
Please contact us if you are interested in helping out. We have volunteers here every day of the week but not during evening or night time hours. All volunteers are required to provide proof of COVID vaccination and a booster. At this time volunteers are also required to wear masks when working with residents at our facility.
