Ready to see the world? Lend a hand? If you are between 16 and 21, have had three years of Spanish-language intruction, and live in Santa Clara County, have we got an opportunity for you! Since 1965 AMIGOS has been sending students to live and work as volunteers in Latin America. You have the chance to learn Spanish, see the world, live with a host family, and help support community health efforts through local projects. Join us October 15th and Decmeber 3rd at the Campbell Community Center, Q-84 Mary Campbell Room, at 4:00 to learn more.

Amigos de las Americas is an international, volunteer-based, not-for-profit organization that builds partnerships to empower young leader and advances community development; plus strengthens multi-cultural understanding in the Americas.
Description
After completing an extensive training program, high school and college-aged young people are assigned to an AMIGOS project in Latin America. Volunteers work with local professionals and organizationas to reinforce existing programs. They live in rural or semi-urban communities and are supervised by more experienced volunteers (AMIGOS Program Staff) and officials of the partner agencies.
