Trail Volunteers
Trail Volunteers at Work

*If you or anyone in your household are sick, waiting for Covid test results, and/or have tested positive for Covid (regardless of vaccination status) you are not eligible to volunteer at this time*

Learn how to build and maintain natural surface trails by volunteering at one of our special workday events - Montgomery Parks has over 200 miles of trails and there is always an opportunity to improve them!

Scheduled on weekends, trail workdays occur in the spring and fall, the work includes building new trail, repairing erosion issues, stabilizing muddy tread surfaces, and bridge construction. There is lots to learn!

If you do not see any workdays listed, you can still sign up and be put on a mailing list to be notified of the next scheduled workdays - probably in early Fall of 2022

The minimum age to volunteer is 15, but kids 13-14 years old can volunteer if accompanied by an adult. Connect with new people and learn about trail building and maintenance techniques while getting exercise.

This is an SSL approved activity.
