Its MORE than just a meal.... its about bringing older adults together from around the community for a great meal and fun!

The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Central Wisconsin operates two Senior Dining Sites in the Wisconsin Rapids area: Centralia and Huntington House. Lunch is served at 11:45 Monday-Friday. Volunteers are needed to assist with set-up, serving meals, and clean-up. Set up starts about 10:30 am and clean up ends about 12:30. Volunteers would also be welcome to provide musical entertainment, games (Bingo), or crafts. Application and background check required.

COVID19 precautions are in place to reduce risk to volunteers and customers.

Senior Dining Sites are located around the Wisconsin Rapids Community:

Centralia Center: 220 3rd Ave S, Wisconsin Rapids

Huntington House: 2521 10th St S, Wisconsin Rapids

On their day of volunteering, volunteers of any age can join us for lunch (donation welcome). (Volunteers age 60+ can join us for lunch on any day regardless of their volunteer schedule. Donation for lunch is welcome).

Mission: The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Central Wisconsin promotes choice and independence through personalized education, advocacy, and access to services that prevent, delay, and lessen the impacts of aging and disabilities in the lives of adults.

Description

ADRC-CW promotes choice and independence through information, personalized options counseling, advocacy, and access to services which prevent, delay, and lesson the impacts of aging and disabilities. We serve adults age 60 years and older and individuals age 17 years 6 months or older with physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, mental health concerns, substance abuse issues, as well as their families, caregivers, and friends. Our service area includes Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, and Wood Counties and we have offices in Antigo, Marshfield, Merrill, Wausau, and Wisconsin Rapids.
