Meals BEFORE the Wheels: Packaging meals for delivery (Wausau)

Those aged 14 and over can help pack meals.
Under the guidance of staff, volunteers assist with the packing of Meals on Wheels.
Meals are packaged Monday through Friday beginning about 8:30 am and is completed by 10:30 am. No cooking is done on site. Volunteers get the meals ready to go for the drivers to pick up the food and deliver the meals to those in the community.
Please let us know if you are interested - it is a fun and fast paced volunteer opportunity! Do this with a child, grandchild or homeschool group.
Volunteers can help out once a month- or a couple of days a week. Give us a call to talk about what schedule would work for you.
Application and background check required. Food safety and program guidelines are covered during training.

Description
ADRC-CW promotes choice and independence through information, personalized options counseling, advocacy, and access to services which prevent, delay, and lessen the impacts of aging and disabilities. We serve adults age 60 years and older and individuals age 17 years 6 months or older with physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, mental health concerns, substance abuse issues, as well as their families, caregivers, and friends. Our service area includes Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, and Wood Counties and we have offices in Antigo, Marshfield, Merrill, Wausau, and Wisconsin Rapids.
