The Meals on Wheels Program helps older adults who are unable to leave their home an opportunity to receive a nutritious hot meal at lunch time.

Under the guidance of staff, volunteers assist with the packing of Meals on Wheels. Meals are packaged Monday through Friday beginning about 8:30 am and is completed by 10:30 am. No cooking is done on site. Volunteers get the meals ready to go for the drivers to pick up the food and deliver the meals to those in the community.

The kitchen space is limited so we can only accommodate a small number of volunteer helpers at a time. Guidelines and procedures are in place to reduce the risk of COVID19 transmission. Face coverings and physical distancing will be implemented. Hand washing and sanitizing are done throughout the volunteer shift.

Please let us know if you are interested - it is a fun and fast paced volunteer opportunity!
Volunteers can help out once a month- or couple of days a week. Give us a call to talk about what schedule would work for you.

Application and background check required. Food safety and program guidelines are covered during training.
