Betty, 81 year old grandmother of 5, lives in her home and has retired her car keys due to failing vision. She struggles with preparing a meal due to severe arthritis. Instead of her usual bagel and tea for lunch, a volunteer driver brings her a hot lunch of roast pork, boiled potatoes, gravy, red cabbage, cottage rye bread, and mandarin oranges. Betty is able to receive the protein and nutrition she needs and she knows a friendly volunteer will be there every day to check on her.

Volunteers pick up the meals at the ADRC-CW at 10:30 am from Saint Marys and Hyacinth Church in Antigo. Most routes will take approximately one hour. Meals are delivered Monday- Friday. Volunteers are needed daily, weekly, or monthly. If you would like to be on an on call status, we can accommodate that too. Groups are encouraged to apply and share the daily or weekly responsibilities. Mileage Reimbursement is available. Application and background check required.
